The aromas and flavors here are beautifully pointed and nuanced. The 2010 boasts striking inner perfume all the way through to the enveloping seductive finish. Frederic Magnien reports 80% of this parcel ripened with shot berries. This is one of the best wines I have ever tasted from Frederic Magnien. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030.

(91-94 points) Noticeable reduction detracts mildly from the otherwise ripe and earthy red berry fruit aromas. The rich concentrated and brooding large-scaled flavors ooze extract that buffers the very firm tannic spine and confers a relatively refined mouth feel on the velvety balanced and patently persistent finish. There is outstanding phenolic maturity with absolutely zero trace of excessive fruit ripeness.
