(93-95 points) A fuller more vibrant purple, with a darker fruit, plums and dark raspberries, still balanced and cheerfully uncooked. More structure is evident, but balanced by an equally greater volume of fruit. Deeply concentrated at the back of the palate, black and red together. An impressive complexity and length.

(93-95 points) Mugnier's 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées unfurls to reveal aromas of rich red berry fruit mingled with peonies, orange oil and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and perfumed, its ample core of fruit is framed by supple, melting tannins and lively acids. Concluding with a long, saline finish, like its communal counterpart, this is an elegant, vibrant wine despite the extremes of the vintage. - WK

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has a bright nose with black plum, briary, crushed stone and orange rind scents. Suggestions of shucked oyster shell surface with time and impart a discrete estuarine dimension. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, black cherry fruit, allspice, hints of peppermint and quite a lavish finish, slightly less "serious" than when I tasted it out of barrel last year Great potential.
