Super smooth and mouth-filling but also lacy and filigreed, the wine combines powerful, broad and ripe strawberries, red plums and cedar on a full body blanketed in soft tannins but with fresh acidity. Aged 18 months on the lees in neutral, large-format barrels. Drink now or hold.

Wild strawberries, smoked spices, dried flowers, and incense notes all emerge from the 2021 Grenache The Boy, a gorgeously perfumed, medium-bodied, elegant Grenache that has fine tannins and an outstanding finish. One hundred percent Grenache, as always, the 2021 is from the Powerline Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley and was fermented with 25% stems (added back) and brought up in neutral demi-muids.
