The 2022 Fleurie Poncié has a concentrated nose with just a mote of over-ripeness that detracts from the definition displayed by the preceding Chénas. The palate is very sweet and candied on the entry—velvety smooth with red pastilles and hints of marmalade, gaining more depth toward the rather heady finish. It just needs a bit more restraint, but otherwise, it's quite delicious.
