A juicy, well-built red, with a structured core of dark cherry and boysenberry fruit harnessed by streaks of wet stone, savory and tobacco, while bay and sandalwood hints peek in on the finish. This is still tight, coiled and steely, but the energy is there for unfurling in the cellar. Best from 2025 through 2038. — J.M.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Bloom's Field is bright, punchy and alluring. Red-toned fruit, chalk, mint, spice and dried flowers infuse this savory, mineral-driven Pinot with tons of character. The 2022 is nervy and taut to its core, but another year in bottle should do the trick. Hints of white pepper, blood orange and pomegranate linger on the vibrant, translucent finish. -- Antonio Galloni

Dark, concentrated, a little reductive when first poured, there’s a cavern-cool earthiness here brought on by whole-cluster fermentation, giving a sense of damp soil and rooty spice. The flavors are suave and balanced, the whole-cluster savor drawing against dark strawberry and black-cherry fruit, the texture supple and the finish long. — P.J.C.
