Blazing acidity, underscored by salty, rocky minerality and chiselled, chalky restraint. An ample ripe orchard fruit character rounds out the mid-palate before tightening into a precise finish of salty citrus. While certainly approachable now, this wine will benefit from a few years of ageing to develop its full complexity.- Vanessa Rason

The 2023 Chardonnay White Hill delivers an utterly pure bouquet with a deeply layered array of creamy, yeasty orchard fruit. Broad yet focused, concentrated yet driven. (90+ points) Barrel fermented and aged 10 months in neutral French oak, the 2023 Chardonnay White Hill reveals exotic stone fruits, honeyed melon, mint, and some subtle blanched almond notes. It's medium-bodied on the palate, with a bright, racy, slightly tart acid profile, yet it's nicely concentrated and has a good finish. Give it a year or two to come together (I suspect it will) and it should keep through 2033. Drink 2026-2033. - Jeb Dunnuck
